The Former Planners’ Forum Nepal (FPFN) is a group of former Vice-Chairman and Members of the National Planning Commission. The Forum brings together people who have significantly contributed to Nepal’s development plans and want to keep contributing to the country’s progress and transformation.

To harness the experience and knowledge of former planners to support pro-people, more equitable development in a sustainable way, engage young professionals in policy dialogues , capacitate the planning processes and strengthen the informed decision-making system.

Our Background
The Former Planners’ Forum Nepal (FPFN) is a group of former Vice-Chairman and Members of the National Planning Commission. The Forum brings together people who have significantly contributed to Nepal’s development plans and want to keep contributing to the country’s progress and transformation. The Forum provides a space to share ideas, reflect on past experiences, and support future planning efforts. It connects experienced planners with current policymakers, government agencies, national and international agencies, and young professionals to promote better, more informed decisions for the country’s future.
The Former Planners’ Forum Nepal aims to keep the wisdom of the past alive for the benefit of future planning by sharing knowledge, collaborating, and staying engaged. FPFN will continue to support Nepal’s development journey toward fair, sustainable, and forward-looking development.
